About

Darien is a 2026 graduate of Merrillville High School. He has played baseball since the age of 6. He started off at Miller Little League in Gary, Indiana until he moved to the town of Merrillville. He continued his baseball career at Merrillville Little League until the league closed. Afterwards, Darien joined Calumet Region Little League where he met a lot of coaches who became his baseball mentors. Darien remained with Calumet LL until he aged out. He went on to play varsity baseball at Merrillville High School all four years. High school is where his mentors introduced him to Gary RBI. As a player in Gary RBI, Darien was introduced to the world of collegiate baseball. Being able to play baseball on college fields sparked his interest of playing at the collegiate level. During the rest of his high school tenure, he also played summer travel ball with various teams such as the Lake Station Post 100 Legion team, Great Lakes Five Stars and Griffith Playmakers. Darien’s hard worked paid off when he was recruited to play baseball for Concordia University Chicago as he pursues his bachelors degree in Computer Science.
